Freeing disk space helps you to improve the performance of your computer. The Disk Cleanup tool integrated in Windows helps you free up space on your hard disk. The utility identifies files that you can safely delete, and then enables you to choose which files you want to delete.

Use Disk Cleanup to:
• Remove Windows and Internet temporary files.
• Empty the Recycle Bin.
• Remove downloaded program files (such as Microsoft ActiveX controls and Java applets).
• Remove optional Windows components that you don’t use.
• Remove installed programs that you no longer use.

Tip: Usually, temporary Internet files occupy the most disk space. It’s because your Web browser caches each Web page you visit for quicker access later.

To use Disk Cleanup, follow these steps:

1. Click Start, go to All Programs > Accessories > System Tools, and then click on Disk Cleanup. If many drives are available, you might be asked to specify the drive to be cleaned.

2. In the Disk Cleanup box, you’ll see a list of files to be deleted.

3. Clear the check boxes for files that you don’t want to delete, and then click OK.

4. When prompted to confirm that you want to delete the specified files, click Yes.

After a few minutes, the process will complete and the Disk Cleanup dialog box will close, making your Windows cleaner and performing better.

The wait is over, the winner has been declared and it’s Manchester United who have got hold of the UEFA Cup 2008. Defeating Chelsea 6-5 on penalties, they’ve bagged the UEFA Cup for the second time, the last being in 1991.

The match was a very dramatic one, the score till the half time being 1-1. Manchester United got the lead in the 26th minute, thanks to a brilliant move which made way for a header by Ronaldo. But Chelsea too did not remain behind as an equaliser by Lampard during the 45th minute levelled both the sides.

The second half didn’t prove to be effective for any side as the score at the end being 1-1. The extra time also didn’t have any goals but it sure gave a blow to Chelsea. A quarell between Drogba and Vidi? during the 116th minute triggered Drogba to slap him, which then gave way for his dismissal. Since no goals could be scored during the extra time also, the match went further on to penalty shoot-outs.

The penalties were also very dramatic. A miss by Ronaldo led Man.u down by a goal. At the end, when Chelsea required just a goal to win, Terry missed the penalty, making way for the Red Devils to get back into the game. A final save by Van Der Sar decided it all and crowned them as the winners of the UEFA Cup 2008.

Manchester United have got a place in the UEFA Champions League Final with a thrilling win against Barcelona at the Old Trafford.

The Spanish club couldn’t make a comeback into the game with a goal after Paul Scholes scored the Red Devil’s winner.

Scholes hit a 30-yard stunner during the 14th minute which ultimately helped Man U grab the match. A win after the previous scoreless draw between the two giant clubs ended Barcelona’s cup dreams.

The other finalist for the Champions League will be decided later tonight with a match between Chelsea and Liverpool. The final will be held at Moscow on May 21.

What about a 1.6-inch HDTV camera? Yup, you read it right. Toshiba’s IK-HD1 is the “Smallest HDTV Camera, Ever“, measuring just 1.6-inches cubed and 2.3-ounces in weight. Even though it’s really small, it still has enough room for three CCD chips which can provide you with brilliant 1080i broadcast-quality color.

This tiny wonder is basically intended for professional broadcasting, so don’t expect it to be at a consumer electronics store. It needs to be connected to a wired control unit which can be placed up to 90 feet away. It will prove to be useful as a hidden camera on reality shows. For now, it’s being aimed at the pro market but it’s for sure that such small cameras would be available to consumers in the time to come.

Exams! Exams! Exams! This is what I’m unto at the present moment. Well I’ve been busy with my examinations for almost a month now and I’m now desperately waiting for them to get over so that I can have some fun and resume to blog frequently.

One thing for sure is that exams are quite boring. They snatch everything away from you. You cannot do most of the things you love to. For instance, I love to play soccer but for some days I’ve not been able to do so. So I’m sort of bound until my exams get over.
